Oh.... this was a musical show about the life of St Alphonsus Liguori produced by The Redemptorists , performed 10 days at the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (KLPAC) .Yep, the show was very impressive and we enjoyed it throughout the almost 3 hrs show.
But our journey to KLPAC on 27th August was exciting too . Actually in order not to miss the show we bought the ticket very early. Of so many performances dates, we carefully chose and yet we had changed the ticket twice !
At first we changed it to the last afternoon show. Wong and I were looking forward to the day and prayed hard nothing POP UP in school on that Saturday! Well, thing just went opposite as we found out last minute there was some thing we needed to attend on that day! What an unexpected coincidence :o( Our wish crushed! If we waited for the event to finish ,we needed to rush and might miss part of the show. That was what we didn't hope for....... ai....
Ok, after thinking over the situation, we decided to inquire whether could change the ticket to a day earlier, that was Friday evening show. Bingo, we were entertained but with one condition that we must collect the tickets one hour before someone else got the seats.
So,that Friday we left home earlier and headed to our destination. Here was the interesting part. The normal traffic- free journey will take the most half an hour. But to our astonishment it took us two hours to reach there ! What a luck, we were trapped in a bumper-to-bumper traffic ! This was all because we missed the short cut turn and ended up in this massive jam. Whom to blame if not ourselves :o( How to kill time in this extremely slow traffic? Yeah, what else could we do......we grumbled , laughed ,danced ,sang and grumbled agian until we had nothing much to say but kept watching the minute ticking past . See, we were so frustrated! No choice ,we headed on and tried our luck.
Oh we made it just 5 minutes before the show started ! We were actually half running from the car park hopefully the tickets were still available. Yes, luck waited us and we finally got two good seats. Our facial expression surely tells a lot of our encounter because the usher laughing with a playful gesture saying "O gosh, you've finally make it ! Do enjoy the show !" Wong and I were amused by her fantastic remark. Yes, we felt really blessed after all the "unlucky" happening and enjoyed the show.
On our way home, we had made plan to come again to KLPAC to watch another performance called "Black & White @ Variation" on Sunday. That continue another exciting story of getting ticket for this show :o)
