To teach is to learn again

Planning after planning,the day finally came. We went up to Kg Raja,Cameron Highland to conduct a one day Sunday School Teachers Formation and a Children Camp.

We left KL toward evening , I was so delight to see the beautiful sunset while reaching Simpang Pulai. Guess this was the first bonus from God. QL , our driver was first time taking this route to Cameron was driving carefully as the sky was already dark. We were overtook by other cars (yeah ,maybe we were a bit slow) , certain part of the road was quite misty too. At one point going up the misty hill, one could see a line of light shining by the opposite cars coming

down the hill. Wow, try to use a bit of imagination, it was like an UFO coming towards you . Thank goodness we arrived on time to attend a mass celebrated by Fr Lucas and another priest from Taiwan. Not like other churches in PJ/KL, parishioners in Cameron do not have regular mass on every weekend. This place also seldom has Children Camp and teachers formation.They shared that it was indeed a blessing weekend for them.

Yes, both activities by God's grace were carried out smoothly. The children were having a great time playing with QL, LC and ML. Bravo to my 3 friends who were first timers handling a group of energetic kids from age 4 to 12 !

One would feel very touching when you see the teachers (some were mothers , veggie farmers etc) with limited resources and knowledge are willing to sacrifice their time to teach the children. They were eager to learn so that they can teach better. They have only one purpose in mind - to spread the Good News to the children so that they know and have faith to keep their religion . To teach is to learn again - besides learning various methods to teach creatively, I believe words of encouragement are also equally important to reaffirm their commitment in this challenging mission.May they continue to journey with the Holy Spirit .

Well , 230808 mission to C.H. was accomplished.It was another fruitful weekend - what a joy to have delicious durians for supper and bringing home with lots of fresh jagung & veggies !
